Executive Committee

Following the Decision Accelerator, a temporary leadership structure, known as the Executive Committee, was formed consisting of community leaders who committed their expertise and time into organizing a community coalition and initiative to address childhood obesity in our community. The 2009 Executive Commmittee members are:

The Executive Committee's role is to oversee the development of a permanent organizational structure, serve as a place for integration of activities in the planks, assure culturally appropriate approaches and outcomes, and determine how to support the attainment of the mission. As the Executive Committee and the planks move toward implementation of the strategic plans, one of their most important roles will be building the political will by assisting in procuring resources, providing leadership in the allocation of resources, building community connections and educating key business and political leaders about the mission and supporting and advocating for the policy recommendations of Activate Omaha Kids.
